Recipe FAQs
Can You Air Fry Eggs?
Yes, you can absolutely air fry eggs. Assuming that you’re not cooking them in the shell, you’ll need a ramekin or another sort of container to keep them together.
Eggs take between 3-10 minutes generally to cook, depending on the style and doneness you prefer your eggs to be.
Can You Put Egg in Hash Browns?
Yes, you can put egg in hash browns, regardless of what cooking method you’re using. Just brown your hash browns, create a small space in the pan, and crack your egg into it. Then, cook until the egg is set to your liking.
This works for stovetop, oven, and air fryer methods, though the cooking times will vary between each.
How Long Do Frozen Hash Browns Take in the Air Fryer?
Frozen hash browns take 10-15 minutes to cook in the air fryer. The exact time depends on the shape of your hash browns, whether patties, cubes, or shreds, as well as your specific air fryer.
Just remember to stir them a couple times during cooking to promote even browning and they’ll be crispy in no time.
Do You Need to Flip Hash Browns?
While you don’t need to flip hash browns in the skillet or oven, it is recommended in the air fryer. This is to help promote more even browning, which gets you the nice, crispy edges you want on hash.
Just one flip about midway through the cooking cycle should be sufficient.
How Long to Cook Simply Potatoes in the Air Fryer?
You should cook Simply Potatoes in the air fryer for about 15 minutes in total, stirring once. Depending on your crispiness preference, you can adjust with more or less time as desired.
However, 15 minutes will get fully cooked potatoes and browned, crispy edges.
Recipe Pro Tips
- You can adjust the cooking time before adding cheese longer if you don’t want runny yolks in your eggs

Storage and Reheating
- Store leftover hash in the refrigerator in an airtight container for 3-4 days
- Reheat hash browns in the air fryer for 5 minutes at 375°F. They are best stored and reheated without eggs (add fresh eggs if desired before reheating). However, you may reheat the eggs if desired in this manner as well, but the yolks will no longer be runny
