Dessert pizza is a fusion between a regular pizza and a sweet dessert, and this air fryer dessert pizza makes it easy! Cook up your pizza dough in a fried dough style, then top it with sweet honey mascarpone and fresh fruit for the perfect summer treat.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe
If you love pizza and dessert, then you’re in the right place. Start with pizza dough, that’s turned to the sweet sida a la fried dough with some cinnamon sugar.
Cook it up in your air fryer so it’s nicely browned, and then spread a creamy, sweet honey mascarpone on it.
Finish it with your favorite fresh fruit! I’m using peaches and raspberries for a melba style, but it goes great with any fruits you like.
Then, a drizzle with a kiss of lemon tops things off before you slice and serve in true pizza style.

- ½ cup mascarpone cheese

- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 2-3 peaches, sliced (depending on size)
- 3-oz fresh raspberries

- The mascarpone can be swapped for sweetened cream cheese or nutella if preferred
- Honey can be swapped for maple syrup or peach jam
- Use any fresh fruit you’d like – I’m going melba style with peaches and raspberries, but strawberries, blueberries, figs, plums, and bananas are other great ideas!
- Feel free to add toppings if you like, such as candied nuts, granola, or streusel
How to Make Air Fryer Dessert Pizza
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F and spray the basket with nonstick spray

- Portion your pizza dough into quarters

- Flatten dough to about ½” thick, and shape to fit in your air fryer basket (circles or rectangles are fine)

- Spread the melted butter over top of the pizza dough, then dust with the sugar and cinnamon

- Place the dough into your preheated air fryer basket

- Cook for 6-8 minutes on the air fry setting at 400°F, until the dough is cooked but not over browned
- While dough is cooking, combine the mascarpone, honey, and vanilla in a bowl, stirring to combine

- Remove the dough to a wire rack to cool for about 10 minutes. If you have a small air fryer and need to cook multiple batches, this is the time to swap them out

- Once cooled a bit, spread the mascarpone mixture over top of the cooked dough with a spatula or spoon (leaving the edges of the crust exposed like a normal pizza)

- Top the mascarpone layer with the peach slices and raspberries

- In a small bowl, combine the powdered sugar and lemon juice, stirring until smooth

- Drizzle glaze over top of the dessert pizza

- Slice and serve!

Recipe FAQs
Can Dessert Pizza Be Cooked in an Air Fryer?
Yes, dessert pizza can be cooked in an air fryer. You’ll get a nice crispy bottom, cooked dough, and it takes less time than the conventional oven.
The air fryer does tend to blow toppings around, but since most dessert pizza toppings are added after the fact, this isn’t an issue.
What is Dessert Pizza Made Of?
Dessert pizza is made of pizza dough, a sweet base such as cream cheese or mascarpone, and toppings of fruits, nuts, or chocolates.
In short, it’s a pizza with the tomato sauce swapped for a dessert sauce, and the toppings are various fruits and sweets as well.
How to Cook Mini Pizzas in an Air Fryer?
Cook mini pizzas in an air fryer for about 6-8 minutes at 400°F. The exact time will depend on your air fryer, the actual pizza size, and the toppings.
Since dessert pizzas are cooked without most of the toppings on, they take less time than their sauce and cheese laden counterparts.
What Does Mascarpone Taste Like?
Mascarpone tastes like ricotta cheese, with the texture of cream cheese. It’s used in both sweet and savory dishes, depending on what is added to it.
With the addition of honey or maple syrup, it becomes soft and semi-liquidy, making it perfect for a dip or sauce.
Recipe Pro Tips
- If you’re having trouble with the dough sticking or falling through the grates, you can use parchment or nonstick foil to line the basket
- Peeling the peaches (or other fruit) is optional. Cut the slices thin and it won’t matter that the skin is on
- My pizza dough was perfectly cooked after 6 minutes in my Ninja Dual Zone air fryer. Other air fryers may vary slightly
- You can make two larger pizzas instead of 4 small ones if preferred (and depending on the size of your air fryer basket)

Storage Tips
- For best results, consume dessert pizza while fresh and warm. However, it may be stored for up to 2 days in the refrigerator and enjoyed chilled
