I definitely spent a lot of summer nights around the campfire attempting to not light marshmallows on fire long enough to make a good s’more. Thankfully, it’s much easier (and far less messy) nowadays with this easy air fryer s’mores dip.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe
Air fryer s’mores dip is so easy to make, that it’s perfect for weeknights and anytime your sweet tooth strikes. Did I mention it only takes 4 ingredients, one pan to cook, and it’s ready in under 10 minutes?
This crowd-pleasing dip is great for parties and a fan favorite for kids and adults alike. No more stacking sandwiches and sticky fingers; grab your favorite dippers and dunk them into this gooey mix of marshmallows and chocolate!

Change things up just the way you like it! Feel free to add other flavors into the mix to make this marshmallow dip your own. I’ve added some cookie dough today because it’s insanely good, but I often use peanut butter cups or chocolate caramels for other variations.

What You’ll Need: Ingredient List

- 12-ounce bag semi sweet chocolate chips
- 10-ounce bag marshmallows
- 14-ounce box graham crackers
- 7-ounce package chocolate chip cookie dough bites
Special Equipment Note: You’ll need some sort of oven-safe pan that fits in your air fryer basket to make this recipe. A cake pan, pie plate, springform pan, or casserole dish are great choices. I’m using two small rectangular casseroles since I have a Ninja Dual Zone air fryer, but you should be able to use just one in a larger single basket air fryer.
Ingredient Substitutions and Variations
- You may substitute dark chocolate or milk chocolate chips instead of semi sweet if preferred
- I find that the large size marshmallows work the best (minis don’t get gooey enough). Alternatively, use the stuffed marshmallows for additional flavor or throw on those leftover Easter Peeps to get rid of them!
- Use plain, honey, or cinnamon graham crackers, they’re all great. Or, feel free to offer other dipping options such as pretzels or apple slices
- Since we’re not baking the cookie dough per se, you’ll want to make sure to choose edible cookie dough – meaning one that doesn’t require cooking to be safe to eat. Typically you can find this in the refrigerated cookie dough section or in the freezer near ice cream. If you can’t find bites, just break up small pieces from whatever you do find
- Variations: Use half peanut butter chips, peanut butter cups, butterscotch chips, or chocolate coated caramels (like Rolo) along with the chocolate chips. You can use other flavors of cookie dough as well, such as peanut butter or birthday cake!
How to Make S’Mores Dip in Air Fryer
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F
- Spray your dish(es) with nonstick spray to allow for easier cleanup

- To the bottom of your cake pan or casserole dish, add the chocolate chips in an even layer

- Sprinkle the cookie dough balls on top of the chocolate chips, evenly spreading them out

- Top with the marshmallows. They will expand during cooking so you don’t want to pack them too tightly (but tight enough that they don’t fly away). They also shouldn’t overflow your container before cooking either (you may want to lay them down vs standing them upright)

- Place the filled dish into your preheated air fryer basket

- Cook on the air fry setting for 5-7 minutes at 350°F, or until the marshmallows begin to brown (but not burn)
- Serve with graham crackers or your other favorites for dipping!

Recipe FAQs
Can You Make S’Mores Dip in an Air Fryer?
Yes, you can make s’mores dip in an air fryer. Much like an oven, it will melt the chocolate and brown the marshmallows.
However, your air fryer preheats much faster than a range oven, so you’ll be able to finish the dish much more quickly.
Can You Put Marshmallow Fluff in the Air Fryer?
Yes, you can put marshmallow fluff in the air fryer. It will melt and brown like a normal marshmallow, making it a suitable substitute.
However, it doesn’t expand or get quite as gooey as a traditional marshmallow. It’s a great choice for sandwiches, but not the best choice for s’mores dip.
Can I Melt Chocolate in an Air Fryer?
Yes, you can melt chocolate in an air fryer. In fact, it only takes 2-3 minutes for chocolate to melt.
Just like other methods for melting chocolate, you’ll want to combine it with the other ingredients, such as oil, butter, or cream before placing it in to melt. You’ll also need to stir to fully combine everything and make it smooth.
Recipe Pro Tips
- Because all sizes of air fryers and baskets are different, there’s a very good chance you won’t need to use the entire quantity of ingredients listed. Make sure whatever dish you use you don’t overfill beyond ¾ full, and scale back on ingredients as needed to achieve this
- My casserole dishes measure approximately 8x4x3 inches, and I used ¾ cup of chocolate chips, ½ the bag of cookie dough bites, and 15 large marshmallows in each. I had a small amount of chocolate chips and marshmallows left over
- I cooked my dip for 7 minutes total in a Ninja Dual Zone air fryer to get this level of browning. Feel free to add more time in small 1-2 minute increments if you’d like a deeper brown
- If you smell burning sugar during cooking, pause your air fryer and check to make sure that a marshmallow hasn’t gotten up into the heating element. This can happen if they’re a little too loosely packed (but a little burning smell is normal regardless)
- The marshmallows will naturally form a crust during cooking. If you like, you can use a spoon for scooping, but my graham crackers had no problems punching through the outer layer
