I happened to see the viral TikTok chocolate covered strawberry yogurt clusters and knew I had to make my own spin on them. Juicy fresh berries and creamy yogurt enrobed in chocolate β whatβs not to love? So, with the help of my handy microwave, a new favorite household snack was made!

Why Youβll Love This Recipe
I love this recipe because itβs a sweet treat thatβs actually relatively healthy (well, when compared to other desserts at least).
There are only 4 required ingredients, but of course you can add your own finishing touches or tweaks to adjust for personal preference.
The prep time for this recipe only takes me about 10-15 minutes and then they just hang out in the freezer.
I like to make these chocolate covered strawberry bites at lunch time or even the night before, and then theyβre ready for dinner!

Theyβre a perfect summer dessert not only because of the use of fresh berries, but the fact that theyβre great cold and a healthier alternative to ice cream. Of course, you can always sneak one for a snack or an afternoon pick-me-up!

Ingredients List

- 1 Β½ cups chopped fresh strawberries
- 1 cup full fat honey vanilla Greek yogurtΒ
- 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
- 2 Tbsp coconut oil
Ingredient Tips and Substitutions
- You could use thawed and drained frozen strawberries if you prefer, but I like the texture of the fresh berries better here. You can also sub in other berries altogether, like blueberries!
- Feel free to swap another flavor of Greek yogurt. Strawberry and vanilla are other good options. You can also use plain, and add 1 Tbsp of sweetener (such as honey, maple syrup, or agave) or 1 tsp extract (like vanilla) for flavor
- If you donβt have semi sweet chocolate chips, dark chocolate chips are the next best option. However, you can also use milk chocolate or another favorite
- The coconut oil keeps your chocolate from seizing. You could also use butter, but thatβs a less healthy option for sure
- I like to top my chocolate strawberry clusters with sea salt for the sweet and salty combo, but thatβs entirely optional!
How to Make Viral Strawberry Yogurt Clusters
- In a medium bowl, combine the chopped strawberries and Greek yogurt, stirring to mix them evenly

- Onto a baking sheet or rack lined with parchment paper, wax paper, or a silicone mat, drop 2 Tbsp of strawberry yogurt mixture at a time (you should end up with around 12). I like to give them a little press to flatten them out evenly

- Place the sheet into your freezer and allow the clusters to freeze solid (generally about 1-2 hours depending on the size)
- When the strawberry bites are fully frozen, add the chocolate chips and coconut oil to a microwave safe bowl. Microwave on high in 30 second intervals, stirring after each, until chocolate is fully melted and smooth (about 1 β 1 Β½ minutes total in a 1000W microwave)

- Use a fork to dip the strawberry yogurt clusters into the chocolate, covering them completely. If you want to sprinkle yours with some sea salt, do so now

- Place the coated bites back onto the baking rack, and return them to the freezer for about 20-30 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden
- Serve chilled or frozen

If you want your dessert to have plenty of time to chill, or to make it when you have extra time, then it may be better to make chocolate covered strawberry bites the night before.
They keep well in both the refrigerator and the freezer, allowing you to enjoy them when you want.
How Many Days Do Chocolate Covered Strawberry Bites Stay Good For?

Recipe Pro Tips
- I use my fork to flip the clusters over in the chocolate to coat both sides. If one does happen to fall apart, gently push it back together before putting them back in the freezer, and theyβll re-stick as they harden
- Depending how big your clusters are and how thick you coat them, you may need more chocolate to get them all thoroughly coated

Storage Tips
- Chocolate covered strawberry yogurt clusters should be stored in the refrigerator and are generally good for 2-3 days
- You may freeze them as well for a more ice-cream-like consistency. However, the strawberries do get a bit hard and may be tough for younger kids to eat
