I love making crisps for dessert. What’s not to love about fruit combined with a streusel style topping that’s loaded with oats and other tasty treats? It’s so easy to throw together, and this air fryer blueberry crisp recipe makes things even simpler by skipping the oven altogether!

Why You’ll Love This Recipe
This air fryer blueberry crisp is incredibly easy to make, with both prep and cook time combined coming in under 30 minutes! That’s easy enough for a weeknight, but I prefer to make mine on the weekend and just quickly reheat portions all week!
It’s a perfect recipe for using fresh or frozen blueberries, meaning that you can enjoy this easy crisp all year round, regardless of if the fruit is in season.
Speaking of year round, not only is the air fryer faster than the oven to cook, but it also won’t heat up your whole house! So, enjoy your crisp year round!

Recipe FAQs
Can I Use Frozen Blueberries For Air Fryer Blueberry Crisp?
Absolutely, you can use frozen blueberries for air fryer blueberry crisp. In fact, you don’t even need to defrost them ahead of time.
Of course, you can also use fresh berries when they are seasonally available.
Can I Use Other Fruits Instead of Blueberries in a Crisp?
Yes, you can use other fruits instead of blueberries in a crisp. Blackberries, cherries, and raspberries are some of the more popular options.
Large fruits, such as apples or peaches, may also be used, so long as they’re cut up into smaller pieces.
Should Blueberry Crisp Be Refrigerated?
Yes, for best results, blueberry crisp should be refrigerated. It will keep for 4-5 days when stored covered in the fridge.
You may also freeze it for up to 3 months, for longer term storage.
How Long Can Blueberry Crisp Sit Out?
Blueberry crisp can sit out generally for about 2 days. After that, it will start to get soggy as the berries deteriorate.
Refrigerate the crisp if you’ll want to keep it longer than that.
Can I Use Gluten Free Flour in Air Fryer Blueberry Crisp?
Yes, you can use gluten free flour in air fryer blueberry crisp. Almond and coconut flour are the two best choices, though others may be used as needed.
Most oats are naturally gluten free, so it’s just the flour that needs swapping.
Recipe Pro Tips
- If you prefer your topping more crumbly, only soften the butter instead of melting it before mixing everything together
- Crisp is best eaten from a bowl (yes, I know I put it in a plate!) because it is inherently more saucy than a cobbler. However, if you’d like a thicker consistency for the berries, use 1 ½ Tbsp of cornstarch instead
- Depending how deep your baskets are, the butter from topping may splatter into your heating element and cause your air fryer to smoke. If this happens, just cover the tops with foil to prevent further splattering from occurring

Storage and Reheating
- Leftover blueberry crisp may be stored covered at room temperature for 2 days, or refrigerated for up to 5 days. For longer term storage, freeze for up to 3 months
- To reheat, place a single serving in an oven safe dish in the air fryer for 3-5 minutes at 350°F, or until warmed through. You may also microwave for about 40 seconds, but the topping will lose crispiness in the process
