Why You’ll Love This Recipe

If you love Cinnabon, then you’ll love that you can now find their products in the freezer section of the grocery store. No more slogging to a mall, airport, travel stop, or wherever else you previously had to!

These Cinnabon mini bites are basically 3 small cinnamon rolls packed together in a pull-apart style. They even come with sweet cream cheese icing to drizzle over the top for the perfect finish!

You can microwave these bites and it only takes about 20 seconds, so why use the air fryer? Well, the texture is so much better than the gummy result you get from the microwave! They’re just lightly crisp on the outside and warm, soft, and gooey inside.

Plus, you can just pop the bites in, then set it and forget it! They don’t take long to cook, and the result is totally worth it. This method is also a great alternative for those that have ditched their microwaves entirely!

Ingredients

cinnabon mini bites out of box
  • 10.6-ounce box frozen Cinnabon frosted mini bites (4 count)

Ingredient Notes

  • I found these Cinnabon mini bites at WalMart, but most major grocery stores should have them in the freezer section. You may be able to find larger quantities at wholesale stores, but I can only cook 4 at a time in my 8-qt Ninja air fryer anyway. If you have a smaller air fryer, you may need to cook in smaller batches

Step By Step Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 325°F (or the closest setting your air fryer has)
  2. Remove the Cinnabon mini bites from the box, and remove the cello packaging from around them. Leave them in the paper muffin wrapper style tray

Recipe FAQs

Can I Use a Regular Oven to Cook Cinnabon Mini Bites?

You can use a regular oven to cook Cinnabon mini bites, but it takes longer than both the air fryer and microwave methods.

Preheat your oven to 350°F, place the Mini Bites on a baking sheet, and bake until browned and warm, usually 10-15 minutes.

How Do I Prevent the Mini Bites from Sticking to the Air Fryer Basket?

Since the mini bites are cooked in their tray, you should not have any issues with them sticking to your air fryer basket.

However, if you remove them from the tray, make sure to preheat your air fryer and lightly grease the basket with a non-stick cooking spray before placing the bites inside.

What’s the Recommended Temperature and Time for Cooking Frozen Mini Bites?

In the air fryer, the recommended temperature and time for cooking frozen mini bites is 325°F for about 6-8 minutes.  The time will vary slightly depending on the brand and model of your air fryer.

In the microwave, they cook for about 20 seconds on high.

Can I Cook Other Cinnabon Products in the Air Fryer?

While Cinnabon mini bites work well in the air fryer, other Cinnabon products like classic cinnamon rolls, coffee cake, and more can also be cooked in the air fryer.

Follow similar guidelines, adjusting the temperature and cooking time as needed based on the specific product’s packaging instructions.

Recipe Pro Tips

  • If your icing is too tough to squeeze out, run it under hot water or massage it in your hands to warm it up while the bites are cooking. I needed a pair of scissors to snip the corner of the applicator, so have a pair handy when you’re ready
  • I cooked my Cinnabon frosted mini bites for 6 minutes in a Ninja Dual Zone air fryer and they were perfect. Other brands and models may vary slightly in terms of time

Storage and Reheating Tips

  • Store leftover Cinnabon mini bites in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, or in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Do not refreeze after they have been cooked once
  • To reheat, microwave for 15-20 seconds on high, or place back into the air fryer for 2-3 minutes at 325°F until warmed as desired
