If you love cinnamon rolls, then I have great news for you! Cinnabon offers their classic bakery favorites right in your freezer aisle. If you haven’t tried a Cinnabon CinnaPastry in the air fryer, then you’re really missing out! They’re warm, gooey, and so delicious.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe

The Cinnabon CinnaPastry is akin to a muffin made of cinnamon roll dough. Inside, it’s filled with their signature cinnamon and brown sugar, along with a healthy portion of classic cream cheese frosting. In other words, they’re amazing!

Now sure, you can heat them in the microwave. They take about 30 seconds for one, or 2 minutes for the whole tray. That’s pretty convenient!

But, if you don’t have a microwave or don’t like the gummy texture it produces, then the air fryer is an amazing alternative! It takes under 15 minutes, and you’ll have a warm CinnaPastry with a light crust and warm, gooey filling.

Recipe FAQs

How Long Should I Preheat the Air Fryer?

For a temperature of 325°F, you should typically preheat the air fryer for around 3-5 minutes.

This will vary slightly depending on the specific brand and model of your air fryer. Some even have a designated preheat option.

What Should I Do if the Pastry Becomes Too Brown?

If the pastry starts to become too brown for your liking, wrap a piece of foil over the top. This will prevent the tops from continuing to brown while the rest cooks.

Make sure not to cover the entire pastry, though, as this will slow down the heating process.

Can I Prepare the Pastries in Advance and Reheat Them?

Of course! Feel free to cook Cinnabon CinnaPastries in advance. To reheat, place them back in the air fryer for 2-3 minutes at 325°F, or until warmed through.

CinnaPastries may be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for 2-3 days, or in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

How Long Do I Cook Cinnabon CinnaPastry in the Air Fryer?

The time needed for a Cinnabon CinnaPastry in the air fryer is generally 10-15 minutes at a temperature of 325°F.

Cooking times will vary slightly depending on the power level of your specific air fryer.

Recipe Pro Tips

  • I cooked my Cinnabon CinnaPastry for 14 minutes in a Ninja air fryer and found that to be perfect (I checked it periodically with a thermometer to see how warm the center was). However, other air fryers may vary slightly
  • If your air fryer is large enough to fit the entire tray, you can cook the pastries in the tray instead (still remove the plastic though). I cut the tray in half to test it and am pleased to report I did not light anything on fire! However, those cooked in the tray temped about 5 degrees lower than those not in the tray, so expect it to take 1-2 minutes longer to cook in the tray

Storage and Reheating Tips

  • Store any leftover Cinnabon CinnaPastries in an airtight container at room temperature for 2-3 days, or refrigerate for up to 1 week. Do not refreeze once they have been cooked once
  • To reheat, air fry for 2-3 minutes at 325°F, or until warmed through (or feel free to enjoy at room temperature, if preferred)

Final Thoughts

These Cinnabon frosting filled CinnaPastries are so perfect in the air fryer. Just pop them in and let them cook with no fuss required, and be rewarded with warm, flaky pastry filled with icing and cinnamon!

Sure, you can make them in the microwave quicker, but you miss out on that lightly crisp outside and actual baked feeling. Plus, this is a great alternative if you’ve ditched your microwave altogether!

Of all the Cinnabon frozen items I’ve tested, this one is by far my favorite! They’re flavorful, moist, and loaded with cinnamon flavor and gooey icing. You really can’t go wrong for breakfast, dessert, or a sweet snack any time you have a craving!
