These seasoned air fryer oyster crackers have just 3 ingredients and toast up crisp in under 10 minutes! Ranch is a great option, but you can use your favorite seasonings for this simple snack.
1Tbspranch seasoning(such as Hidden Valley dressing & seasoning mix)
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl or bag, combine the crackers with the oil and the seasoning mix. Shake (in the bag) or stir (in the bowl) with a spatula or your hands to coat them thoroughly
Spread the crackers evenly across your air fryer’s basket or tray, keeping them as close to a single layer as possible
Cook on the air fry setting at 320°F (or 325°F, depending on your air fryer’s available settings) for 8 minutes, until the crackers are lightly browned (the seasoning will be darker brown as well, but darker mixes like taco seasoning won’t be as noticeable)
Cool slightly on a plate or sheet of parchment, then enjoy!
Notes
If you don’t like oyster crackers, other similar sized crackers work well too. Try goldfish crackers for a good alternative!
You can use vegetable oil or another oil of your choosing in place of the olive oil. Melted butter is fine as well if preferred
There are tons of great seasoning options if you don’t like ranch seasoning. See my variations section above for suggestions. You can add more seasoning as well if you’d like, but this amount is a good starting point for light flavoring
You do not have to preheat your air fryer for this recipe. You may, however, want to give them a stir once midway during cooking to avoid any cold spots at the bottom
My crackers were perfect after 8 minutes in my Ninja air fryer. Cooking times may vary slightly between air fryers, so you may need to adjust by a couple minutes
Allow crackers to cool fully, then store in an airtight bag or container at room temperature for 2-3 days. For longer term storage, throw them in the refrigerator for up to a week
While toasted oyster crackers are great at room temperature, if you refrigerate them I feel they need warming up again. Just 1-2 minutes at 325°F in your air fryer should be good to re-crisp them!
