1Slicefrozen Texas toast(such as New York Bakery brand)
Instructions
Preheat your air fryer to 350°F
Remove the frozen Texas toast from all packaging and place into the preheated air fryer basket in a single layer
1 Slice frozen Texas toast
Cook on the air fry setting for 6 minutes at 350°F, flipping halfway (don’t flip if you’re using the cheese bread version)
If additional browning is desired, add up to 4 more minutes in 1-minute increments until preferred shade is achieved
Serve warm
Notes
You can use regular frozen Texas toast, or the 5 cheese version. The only change to cooking is that you don’t flip the cheese-covered one (or else you’d lose your cheese!)
Feel free to add some shredded cheese to the top of garlic Texas toast in the last 1-2 minutes of cooking to make your own cheesy version! Cheddar and mozzarella work great!
Anybrand is fine. New York Bakery brand is popular and widely available in grocery stores, but you can also find frozen Texas toast by Pepperidge Farm, Market Pantry (Target), Great Value (Walmart), and Katz (who has a gluten free option as well)
Cook as many slices at a time as you like so long as there is room for them in your air fryer without overlapping
My Texas toast was perfect and just the right amount of crispy after 6 minutes in a Ninja air fryer. Other air fryers as well as personal preference on crunch level may cause times to vary slightly
Store leftover Texas toast in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Do not refreeze
Reheat in the air fryer for 1-2 minutes at 350°F, or until warmed through. You may also microwave for 30 seconds, but it will lose its crispiness that way
Exact nutritional values will vary based on brand and flavor of ingredients and quantity consumed, so please consider this a guideline only
