Frozen Chicken Pot Pie in the Air Fryer (Marie Callender)
Skip the prep and enjoy a quick meal with this frozen chicken pot pie in the air fryer. It cooks in less time than a conventional oven, with a perfectly flaky crust.
1 Frozen pot pie, any flavor, brand, and size(such as this Marie Callender’s 10-ounce chicken pot pie)
Instructions
Preheat your air fryer to 360°F
Remove the pot pie from the box and any wrapping. If it comes in a foil pie pan, leave it in the pan (otherwise you can place it in directly). To avoid a very brown crust, you may wrap the edges of the pot pie in foil
1 Frozen pot pie, any flavor, brand, and size
Place the frozen pot pie into the preheated air fryer basket
Cook on the air fry setting for 25-30 minutes at 360°F (based on a 10-ounce pot pie)
Pot pie is done when 165°F internal temperature is reached and the crust is golden brown. Add additional time if needed in 5-minute increments to achieve this
Let sit for 5 minutes before serving (it will be very hot)
Notes
This recipe works with any flavor or brand of frozen pot pie. There’s typically chicken, turkey, beef, or vegetable to choose from. Popular brands include Banquet, Marie Callender's, Bremer, Boston Market, Amy’s, and Swanson
Cooking times vary slightly between different pot pie sizes as well as the normal variations between air fryers
I don’t recommend covering the entire pot pie in foil, as that does extend cooking time. Only foil around the edges of the crust to prevent browning
The paper pans the Marie Callender pot pies come in are safe to put in your air fryer as well (in addition to the foil ones)
Note that it’s normal for some drips to occur as the sauce will bubble over the sides. You may want to put parchment or a liner of some kind under the pie for easier cleanup
Store any leftover chicken pot pie in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Do not refreeze once you have cooked the pie
To reheat leftover pot pie, place it back into the foil pan (or another similar oven safe dish) and air fry at 325°F for 5-7 minutes, or until heated through. You may also microwave for 1-2 minutes on high, but the crust will become soggy
Exact nutritional values will vary based on brand and flavor of ingredients, any sides added, and total quantity consumed, so please consider this a guideline only
