Notes
Any type of oats work as long as they are not instant. Note that steel cut produce a chewier texture as well
You can swap in any other type of unsweetened nut milk instead of almond milk
Use natural raspberry preserves as a sweetener. Alternatively, honey, agave, or maple syrup may be substituted
If you would like to layer your overnight oats in a jar for presentation, you may use extra fresh raspberries, more chocolate chips, or a layer of raspberry jam
Make sure to adjust your liquid amount for the desired consistency. Typically, between a 1:1 and 2:1 ratio of liquid to oats is standard. If you are drinking your overnight oats, add enough additional milk just before serving to make it easier to drink
Feel free to experiment with different ratios of raspberries to chocolate. Whether you prefer your oats on the decadent chocolate side or the fruit raspberry side, tweak the proportions to your liking!
If you plan to drink your oats, you can blend the raspberries or the entire finished drink for a smoother consistency before adjusting with liquid
Store overnight oats in the refrigerator, and for up to 2 days. For longer storage, do not add the raspberries initially and store up to 1 week. Add the fruit right before serving
