These easy strawberry blueberry overnight oats are packed with vitamins and fiber to start your morning right. Enjoy them cold as a drink, with a spoon, or warmed like regular oatmeal!
Add all ingredients to a mason jar or similar container, and stir or shake to combine
½ Cup rolled or old fashioned oats, ¾ Cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk, 1 Tbsp chia seeds, 1 Tbsp agave, ½ Cup blueberries, ½ Cup diced strawberries
Store in the refrigerator at least 4 hours, or up to overnight
Enjoy cold with a spoon, or add more milk if needed to make a thinner drinking consistency. You may also microwave for about 1 minute to enjoy them hot
Top with additional fresh fruit or other garnishes if desired and enjoy!
Notes
Any oats work just fine, so long as they aren’t instant
You may use any milk that you like, including dairy. Almond milk is just a very common choice
Agave may be swapped for honey or maple syrup as a sweetener if preferred
Other optional additions could include ½ tsp of an extract such as vanilla or almond, chopped nuts, or some cinnamon
You can also layer the berries in the jar with the oatmeal mixture instead of mixing them in. I like to break the berries up a little so the taste is more distributed
This recipe easily doubles (or more) if you want to prepare a larger batch. Don’t add fruit immediately if you plan to eat it over several days
If you’re drinking these overnight oats you may want to puree or mash the berries instead so they don’t get caught in your straw!
Store strawberry blueberry overnight oats in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours
For longer term storage, omit the fruit. Leave plain overnight oats in the fridge for up to 1 week, adding fruit right before serving
To enjoy your overnight oats warm, microwave for about 1 minute on high, then stir and enjoy!
