Notes
While this recipe is for Trader Joe’s frozen kibbeh, the same steps will work for other brands as well. Check out other brands such as Mid East, California Garden, or Afia!
Kibbeh is delicious on its own, but if you’d like a sauce, my recommendation is some Lebanese garlic sauce or something similar, as it complements the flavors well
You do not need to add any oil before cooking, as TJ’s puts sunflower oil right in the breading
My kibbeh were perfect after 11 minutes at 400°F in a Ninja Dual Zone air fryer, confirmed via an instant read thermometer. Other air fryers may vary slightly
I was concerned that they could be dry (they weren’t), so I cooked another batch at 360°F for 18 minutes. This combination also worked perfectly, and I noticed no discernable difference in texture between the two cooking methods. So, I opted for the shorter time option. However, know that this alternative is great as well if needed!
Store leftover Trader Joe’s kibbeh in an airtight container in the fridge. Consume within 3-4 days. Do not refreeze after cooking
To reheat kibbeh in the air fryer, cook for 6-8 minutes at 360°F, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F for food safety since it contains ground beef
Exact nutritional values will vary based on brand of kibbeh, any sauces or sides added, and quantity consumed, so please consider this a guideline only
