Air Fryer Cinnamon Roll Bites With Canned Biscuits
These air fryer cinnamon roll bites with canned biscuits are so easy to throw together with just 4 ingredients and about 10 minutes. They’re a great dessert or snack for fall and winter entertaining!
16Ouncecan refrigerated biscuit dough(such as Pillsbury)
½Cupgranulated sugar
1Tspcinnamon(or more to taste)
¼Cupsalted butter(melted)
Instructions
Preheat your air fryer to 350°F and mix the cinnamon and sugar together to evenly combine
½ Cup granulated sugar, 1 Tsp cinnamon
Open your can of biscuits, separate the biscuits, then cut each one into quarters (or sixths if they’re really large; halve if they're very small). Roll into balls if desired for a more uniform look (optional)
16 Ounce can refrigerated biscuit dough
Place the biscuit bites into the preheated air fryer basket in a single layer, leaving air space in between for expansion (feel free to line your basket or rack with perforated parchment paper for easier cleanup)
Cook on the air fry setting for 5-6 minutes at 350°F, pausing halfway through to flip the bites, until they are golden brown and cooked through. Very large bites may take 1-2 minutes longer or need an additional flip to evenly brown
Roll the cooked bites in the melted butter, then in the sugar and cinnamon mixture (You can do this individually, or use a zippered bag or mixing bowl to toss them all at once)
¼ Cup salted butter
Serve with icing for dipping, if desired (but they’re delicious on their own)!
Notes
You can use any flavor of refrigerated biscuits you like (and the size of the can will vary from 16-20 ounces depending on flavor). I have butter flavor, but buttermilk, honey butter, and Hawaiian are all great too. You can also substitute canned cinnamon rolls instead, which come with icing for dipping!
If you only have unsalted butter, just add a pinch of salt for flavor
The granulated sugar may be swapped for brown sugar if preferred
Feel free to adjust the cinnamon to taste. I find that 1 tsp is plenty for me, but you can go as high as 1 Tablespoon if you want really bold cinnamon flavor
Optional dipping sauce choices include vanilla frosting, cream cheese frosting, caramel sauce, or vanilla glaze
Especially if using a “layers” variety of biscuits, these bites can split apart if you’re too rough on them. Use tongs or similar to turn them gently, and use a large spatula or your hands to toss them in sugar. Avoid aggressive shaking, as this will break them up (but if that does happen, they’re still delicious!)
I made this recipe in my 8-qt Ninja air fryer. You may need to cook in batches if you have a smaller air fryer to prevent overcrowding. My bites were perfect after 6 minutes total, but your time will vary slightly based on your air fryer, and brand and size of biscuits. If you don’t preheat (we’re all guilty of that sometimes), add an extra 2-3 minutes and an additional flip during cooking to compensate!
Store leftover cinnamon roll bites in an airtight container at room temperature for 2-3 days, or refrigerate for up to 1 week. You may also individually freeze on a sheet tray, transfer to a bag, and store for up to 3 months
To reheat, if desired, air fry for 2-3 minutes at 325°F, or until warmed through. Watch them carefully to ensure the sugar doesn’t burn
Exact nutritional values will vary based on brand, flavor, and size of ingredients, any sauces or sides added, and actual quantity consumed, so please consider this a guideline only
