This easy blueberry gin cocktail requires just 3 ingredients and 5 minutes to make. It’s beautiful to look at, and a perfect cocktail for summer with its bursting berry flavor!
Combine gin and blueberry syrup in a glass, and mix to combine
2 Ounces gin, 2 Ounces blueberry syrup
Add ice cubes to fill the glass
Ice cubes
Top off with the sparkling water
2-3 Ounces blueberry or mixed berry sparkling water
Garnish with a skewer of blueberries or a lemon slice, if desired
Notes
Any brand of ginis perfectly fine. Try a blueberry (Greenall’s, New Holland, or 1000 Piers) or a citrus flavored gin (Tarsier, Ozmoz, Drumshanbo) for a different flavor variation! You may also substitute vodka or white rum if preferred
I’m using Rose’s blueberry syrup but Ronin and Torani are other popular choices. See the variations section for directions on how to make homemade if preferred
For the sparkling water you can use plain blueberry, or a mixed berry variety. I have blueberry, raspberry, blackberry mixed, but blueberry pomegranate is another great choice. You can also swap in club soda, ginger ale, or Sprite if preferred
If you want to pack this cocktail to go, mix your blueberry syrup and gin in a carafe or thermos, then bring a cooler with chilled cans of sparkling water to top it off before serving!
To prevent the drink going flat or diluting, I do not recommend storing leftover blueberry gin cocktail
If you would like to prepare your gin fizz in advance, only combine the syrup and the gin. Store in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Then, add the sparkling water and ice later just before serving
