If you’re looking for something to soothe a cough or cold, or just want to enjoy a comforting warm beverage, then you’ll love this peach hot toddy. With peach flavor from the use of Crown Royal peach whisky as the base, this is one of my favorite versions of this classic warm cocktail!

What is a Peach Hot Toddy?
A peach hot toddy is a warm, soothing drink made with peach-flavored ingredients, giving it a fruity twist on a classic base.
The drink is usually made with whiskey or brandy as the base liquor. For the peach flavoring, you could add peach liqueur or peach nectar, but I think Crown Royal’s peach whiskey is the perfect choice since it provides the whiskey and the peach flavor all in one!
Then, you just mix it up with some hot water, honey, and spices like cinnamon and cloves. The hot toddy is often enjoyed as a comforting beverage during colder months, or as a remedy for colds and sore throats due to its warming and soothing properties.

Peach Hot Toddy Ingredients

- 2 ounces Crown Royal peach whisky
- 1 Tbsp honey
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 6 ounces hot water
- 1 lemon slice
Ingredient Tips and Substitutions
- You can use other brands of peach whiskey or bourbon. Alternatively, use 1 ½ ounces regular whiskey and add ½ ounce peach schnapps for flavor
- Feel free to add some “punch” to the drink with the addition of red pepper flakes, sliced fresh ginger, or whole cloves in addition to or in place of the cinnamon stick
- Instead of the sliced lemon, you could also do about 1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice (but I like the way the lemon slice looks)!
- The water can be swapped for hot brewed herbal tea if you’d like. Lemon ginger or peach teas are the perfect choice here, but you can use your favorite!
How to Make a Peach Hot Toddy
- Heat your water using the microwave or a kettle (stovetop or electric). I use a 1000W microwave and cook it for 1 ½ minutes on high
- Pour the hot water into a heat safe mug (if it’s not already in one from the microwave). Then, add in the honey and peach whiskey, and stir until the honey is completely dissolved

- Add in the slice of lemon and cinnamon stick directly to the mug. Let the drink cool slightly (1-2 minute so you don’t burn yourself)

- Garnish with a slice of peach or ginger if desired, and enjoy!
