You know, fudge isn’t just a dessert for the holiday season anymore. Especially when it’s easy to make it in fun, fruity, summer flavors like this peach fudge! I’m terrible at making fudge on the stove, so I always opt for the microwave and try to keep things simple (but still delicious)!

What is Peach Fudge?
Peach fudge is a sweet, creamy confection that combines the flavors of peaches and white chocolate in a rich, melt-in-your-mouth treat.
Typically, fudge is made by cooking sugar, butter, and milk until it reaches a specific temperature and then beating the mixture to achieve a smooth consistency. In this case, I’ve simplified the process by using the microwave to heat and combine the ingredients quickly and efficiently.
You can choose from a number of ingredients to add the peach flavor, like peach jam, extract, freeze dried peaches, or even peach-flavored gelatin!

Microwave preparation makes this dessert quick and easy, ideal for those who want to make a delicious homemade treat without the hassle of traditional stovetop cooking. The result is a soft, creamy fudge with a hint of sweet, fruity peaches that’s perfect for dessert!

Peach Fudge Ingredients

- 3 cups white chocolate chips
- 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
- ½ cup peach preserves
- 3 Tbsp freeze dried peaches, crushed (optional)
Ingredient Tips and Substitutions
- You could use other flavors of chocolate chips if preferred, but I like white chocolate for the color so it looks more “peachy” and so the darker chocolate doesn’t dominate the flavor
- Feel free to sub 2-3 tsp of peach flavored extract or peach puree in for the peach preserves. The extract will provide the strongest peach flavor, whereas the preserves or puree are more mild overall
- The freeze dried peaches are optional, but I like them as they add texture, flavor, and visual appeal to the fudge
- For a peaches and cream combo, you can add 1 tsp of vanilla extract to your mix
- You can also consider adding toppings to your fudge, like peach ring candies (pictured), more freeze dried peach crumbles, oats, streusel, or decoratives like sprinkles
How to Make Peach Fudge in the Microwave
- Line a square baking pan with parchment paper or nonstick foil. You can use an 8×8 or 9×9 for this recipe
- In a large microwave safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips and the sweetened condensed milk

- Microwave on high in 1 minute increments, stirring after each, until the chocolate is melted and smooth, and the mixture reaches 235°F. If it does not get hot enough, it will not set! It takes me about 5-6 minutes total in a 1000W microwave, but this will vary based on how many times you check it, your wattage, and your bowl size

- Fold in the peach jam (you can microwave it for about 30 seconds to loosen it to make this easier) and the freeze dried peach bits, if using

- Pour into your prepared pan and smooth the top
- Add in any decorations or toppings you want, pressing down gently so they adhere into the melted fudge

- Refrigerate until fudge is completely set (at least 4 hours, but overnight is preferable)
- Cut into pieces (I do 1” or 2” cubes usually) and enjoy!

Recipe FAQs
What Are The Main Ingredients In Microwave Peach Fudge?
Microwave peach fudge typically includes white chocolate, sweetened condensed milk, and peach flavoring, which can come from fresh or canned peaches, preserves or jam, peach extract, or peach-flavored gelatin.
Other additives, such as dried peaches, or toppings like peach candies can be added as well for color and flavor.
How Long Does It Take To Make Microwave Peach Fudge?
The process of making microwave peach fudge is quick and easy, usually taking about 10 minutes of preparation time, plus a few hours to chill and set in the refrigerator.
For best results, chill it overnight. This recipe is easy to make in advance to save time for entertaining.
Can I Use Fresh Peaches For Microwave Peach Fudge?
Yes, you can use fresh peaches. However, ensure they are ripe and properly peeled and diced to blend well into the fudge mixture.
Using fresh peaches will mean that your fudge will soften sooner due to the moisture, and will only keep for 2-3 days. If you need it longer than that, skip fresh peaches and opt for dried or preserves for flavor.
What Is The Texture Of Microwave Peach Fudge Like?
Microwave peach fudge has a rich, creamy texture that melts in your mouth.
The bits of peach add a slight chewiness and burst of fruity flavor.
Can I Add Nuts Or Other Mix-Ins To My Fudge?
Yes, you can customize your microwave peach fudge by adding nuts, such as pecans or almonds, or other mix-ins like dried fruits or shredded coconut for added texture and flavor.
You can also add toppings like peach ring candy, oats to streusel to make a cobbler-inspired fudge, or decorative sprinkles to add visual appeal.
Is Microwave Peach Fudge Gluten Free?
The ingredients for microwave peach fudge should be naturally gluten free.
However, always check the labels of your ingredients to ensure they do not contain gluten, as cross-contamination can happen during production.
Peach Fudge Recipe Tips
- The most important tip for making peach fudge in the microwave is to ensure that it is cooked to the right temperature. If it does not reach at least 235°F, the fudge will not set and will be soupy in consistency.
- To make cutting your fudge cleaner, run a sharp knife under hot water before cutting, which will deliver crisper edges when cutting
- If you use peach ring candies for decoration, you can use them as guidelines for size when cutting your fudge! I use 16 spread evenly across an 8×8 pan and it works perfectly

Storage Tips For Peach Fudge
- Store finished fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. If you used fresh fruit in the mixture or as a garnish, then it is generally only good for 2-3 days
- For longer term storage, fudge can be wrapped well and frozen for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator before consuming

Final Thoughts
This peach fudge is so easy to make thanks to the microwave! As long as you cook it to the right temperature, it’s consistently a great recipe that delivers creamy white chocolate fudge with a kiss of peach flavor that’s perfect for summer!
Plus, since you don’t have to stand over the stove in the summer heat to cook it, it’s just an added bonus! I love the versatility in this recipe, with a number of different ways to add the peach flavor, and a blank slate in terms of decorations for the top (I think peach rings are the best, personally).
