What Are Air Fryer Peach Cobbler Egg Rolls?

Air fryer peach cobbler egg rolls are a creative and delicious dessert that combines the flavors of traditional peach cobbler with the crispy texture of egg rolls.

These egg rolls are filled with a sweet mixture of peaches, sugar, and spices similar to a peach pie filling, and then air fried to achieve a golden-brown, crispy exterior. You’ll get a similar texture to deep frying, only with far less oil used!

Serve peach egg rolls with a dusting of powdered sugar or a drizzle of icing (or put a cup on the side for dipping) for a unique twist on a classic dessert!

Peach Cobbler Egg Rolls Ingredients List

ingredients to make peach cobbler egg rolls in the air fryer
  • 3-4 peaches, peeled, pitted, and diced into approx ½” cubes (2 cups of fruit total)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 10 egg roll wrappers
  • 2 Tbsp salted butter, melted

For the Vanilla Dipping Sauce:

  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ Tbsp milk (or until a dippable consistency is reached)

Ingredient Tips and Substitutions

  • You can sub an equal amount of frozen defrosted peaches or a 15-ounce can in juice that’s been drained instead of the fresh peaches if preferred. For a super shortcut, substitute peach pie filling instead of all the filling ingredients!
  • Granulated sugar can be swapped in for the brown sugar, or another similar sweetener of choice. If your peaches are very ripe and sweet, you can reduce to 2 Tbsp sugar if preferred
  • The butter can be swapped for olive oil (or similar) but the butter will give you the better “cobbler” flavor in this particular application
  • Egg roll wrappers are found in the refrigerated section of the grocery store, usually near prepared foods, Asian groceries, or occasionally the dairy or deli sections
  • Feel free to add other spices in place of or in conjunction with the cinnamon. Nutmeg and ginger are other great options

Recipe FAQs

Can I Use Fresh Peaches for the Filling?

Yes, you can use fresh peaches for the filling, though canned or frozen peaches can also be used for convenience.

While you can use slices, I find that dices cook better overall and make the egg rolls easier to eat.

How Long Do I Cook Peach Cobbler Egg Rolls in the Air Fryer?

Cooking times can vary, but generally, peach cobbler egg rolls take about 10-12 minutes in the air fryer at 400°F (200°C).

The time varies based on the specific air fryer you have, so near the end of cooking time just keep an eye on your egg rolls and adjust as needed. You can also cook them longer for a deeper brown exterior based on your personal preferences.

Are Air Fryer Peach Cobbler Egg Rolls Healthier Than Deep-Fried Versions?

Yes, using an air fryer typically requires less oil, making peach cobbler egg rolls a healthier option compared to deep frying.

That said, they are still a dessert, so should be consumed in moderation as part of a balanced meal.

Can I Make Peach Cobbler Egg Rolls Ahead of Time?

Yes, you can prepare the egg rolls ahead of time and refrigerate them.

When ready to serve, simply air fry them until crispy and warm.

What Dipping Sauces Pair Well with Peach Cobbler Egg Rolls?

Popular dipping sauces include vanilla icing, caramel sauce, or a dollop of whipped cream for added sweetness.

You can also cut your egg roll in half and serve hot with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an a la mode option!

Can I Freeze Peach Cobbler Egg Rolls?

Yes, you can freeze uncooked peach cobbler egg rolls.

When ready to eat, air fry them directly from the freezer, adding a few extra minutes to the cooking time to account for the colder starting temperature (usually around 5 minutes).

What Variations Can I Try with Peach Cobbler Egg Rolls?

You can experiment with different fillings such as sweetened cream cheese, creating mixed fruits by adding berries, using different spices, or incorporating nuts for added texture and flavor.

Feel free to also add toppings like powdered sugar or caramel drizzle after cooking, roll hot egg rolls in cinnamon sugar, or serve with sauces, whipped cream, or ice cream to create delicious combinations.

Recipe Tips for Peach Cobbler Egg Rolls

  • For the best seal, keep your edges clean, make sure to secure your corners as you’re rolling, and roll tightly. It’s still normal for some filling to leak out during cooking, but you can minimize it with a good roll!
  • I do not preheat my air fryer for this recipe since I flip the egg rolls during cooking. I do 6 minutes on the first side and 5 on the second in my Ninja Dual Zone air fryer. Other air fryers may vary slightly in terms of cooking time

Storing and Reheating Peach Cobbler Egg Rolls

  • Store any leftover egg rolls in an airtight container or zippered bag in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Store the dipping sauce separately, in the refrigerator as well
  • To reheat peach cobbler egg rolls, air fry at a reduced temperature of 350°F for 3-4 minutes, until warmed through and re-crisped
