I love to travel, which means getting to try things that I don’t have in my local area. One of my stops when I’m away is Jamba Juice for a tasty smoothie! Since I can’t get them when I’m home, the next best thing is a copycat recipe, which is why I created this Jamba Juice beet smoothie version of the Berry UpBeet!

What is the Jamba Juice Berry UpBeet Smoothie?
The Jamba Juice Berry UpBeet Smoothie is a fruit and vegetable-based smoothie that combines a blend of fruits with the earthy flavor of beets and other vegetables.
This smoothie includes strawberries, blueberries, and mango, along with mixed berry juice, a red vegetable juice blend featuring beets, and some ice for thickness, making it a rich source of antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals.
The combination of fruits balances the taste of the vegetables with natural sweetness, making it a refreshing option that’s still a healthy and flavorful drink!

Jamba Juice Beet Smoothie Ingredients

- ¼ cup frozen mango chunks
- ¼ cup frozen blueberries
- ½ cup frozen strawberries
- 1 cup mixed berry juice
- ½ cup red vegetable juice blend (such as V8)
- ½ cup ice
Ingredient Tips and Substitutions
- You can also use fresh fruit and add 1 cup of ice before blending. I prefer to use frozen fruit since it also acts as a thickener and is available year round
- Any brand of mixed berry juice is fine. I have Motts, but Simply mixed berry is another good choice
- Jamba Juice’s red vegetable juice blend contains carrots, beets, broccoli, spinach, kale, and lettuce. V8 is the closest readily available option you’ll find, which contains tomato, celery, parsley, and watercress not found in their juice, and it does not have broccoli or kale (but the other vegetables, including the important beets, match up). Feel free to use a different red vegetable blend or make a homemade version if you prefer!
How to Make a Jamba Juice Beet Smoothie
- Add all ingredients to a blender

- Blend on high or smoothie (depending on available settings) until smooth

- Adjust consistency if needed with more ice to thicken or more berry juice to thin
- Enjoy!

What to Serve With a Berry UpBeet Smoothie
While smoothies can be enjoyed on their own as a meal, particularly for breakfast or an afternoon snack, there are also other great things you can serve with them!
Pair your Berry UpBeet copycat smoothie with light and nutritious snacks or dishes that complement its fruit and vegetable flavors. Here are a few options I like:
- Nut-Based Snacks: Almonds, cashews, or a mix of nuts provide healthy fats and a satisfying crunch, balancing the smooth texture of the smoothie
- Whole Grain Toast with Avocado: The creaminess of avocado on a crunchy whole grain toast complements the sweet, slightly earthy beet flavor. Learn how to make Air Fryer Avocado Toast!
- Greek Yogurt with Granola: A small bowl of Greek yogurt topped with granola and/or fresh berries adds protein to your meal, providing extra texture alongside the smoothie
- Fresh Fruit Slices: Citrus fruits like oranges or grapefruit provide a refreshing contrast to the beet’s earthiness. Apples or pears also work well for a sweet crunch!
- Vegetable Chips: If you’re looking for a savory snack, baked vegetable chips, like sweet potato or kale chips, offer a salty contrast to the smoothie. My crispy Air Fryer Beet Chips are another great choice with complimentary flavors!
- Wraps or Sandwiches: If you’re having the smoothie as part of a larger meal, try a lean protein wrap or sandwich (e.g., turkey or chicken with veggies) to balance the meal!
