Crown Peach and Cream Soda: Peaches ‘N Cream Mixed Drink

The peaches ‘n cream flavor combination is a classic. Fresh, juicy peach flavor melds with creamy vanilla for a delightful mix. That’s why, despite the simplicity, this Crown peach and cream soda is one of my favorite ways to use Crown Royal peach whisky!

Crown Peach and Cream Soda Ingredients

ingredients to make crown royal peach and cream soda
  • 2 ounces Crown Royal peach whisky
  • 6-8 ounces cream soda (or another soda of choice)
  • Ice cubes

Ingredient Tips and Substitutions

  • You can use another peach flavored whiskey or bourbon instead of the Crown if preferred. Feel free to use a 50/50 mix of plain whiskey and peach schnapps instead. You can also substitute another peach-flavored liquor, such as vodka or rum!
  • Feel free to add some peach juice or peach nectar to add some additional peach flavor if you’d like (but this is optional)
  • The amount of soda you’ll need depends on glass size, ice size, and strength preferences. Start with 6 ounces and add more as needed!

Other Sodas to Mix With Crown Peach

Sprite

Probably the next most common combination is Crown peach and Sprite. Peach blends well with the lemon-lime flavor (I mean, Sprite even made a peach flavor for a while, so you know it works)! You can also use other brands of lemon-lime soda, like 7-Up, Starry, or a generic store brand.

Ginger Ale

Peach and ginger is a great combination (have you tried my ginger peach sangria)? A Crown peach and ginger ale is another delicious combo to try. Schweppes makes a white peach ginger ale, and Canada Dry sometimes has peach ginger ale too, which is a great choice to reinforce the peach flavor!

Peach Soda

Now, this combination is for the real peach lovers, because it’s peach on peach. But, you can mix Crown peach with Crush (or another brand) of peach soda for a boozy variation!

Pineapple Soda

This is similar to the peach option above, but adds the fruity, beachy vibes of pineapple! Mix your peach Crown with a pineapple soda like Fanta, Jarritos, or Canada Dry pineapple ginger ale (if available) for a delightful combination!

Coke

While Crown peach and Coke is probably my least favorite of all the versions I’ve tried, it definitely still has its merit (and if you’re a big Coke fan, you’ll probably enjoy it). The caramel notes of the cola pair well with Crown peach for a refreshing sip. It works well with vanilla Coke (or Pepsi) as well!

How to Make a Crown Peach and Cream Soda

  1. Fill a highball style glass with ice (cubes or crushed)
fill peach whisky and cream soda glass with ice
  1. Add 2 ounces of Crown Royal peach whiskey to the glass
add crown royal peach whisky over ice cubes
  1. Top with cream soda. Note: the exact amount of soda you need depends on the size of your glass and ice, as well as any adjustments for personal strength preferences

  1. Stir (I use a straw) and enjoy!

Recipe FAQs

What Is the Best Ratio of Whiskey to Cream Soda?

A common ratio is 1 part Crown Royal peach whiskey to 2 parts cream soda, but you can adjust the proportions to suit your taste preferences.

Simply add more whiskey for a stronger drink, or add additional soda, or peach juice or nectar to reduce strength. You can also use a mix of peach whiskey and peach schnapps, to keep the peach flavor strong while lowering overall alcohol content.

Can I Use Diet Cream Soda in This Cocktail?

Yes, you can use diet cream soda if you prefer a lower-calorie option.

The flavor will remain similar, though slightly less sweet.

What Garnishes Work Well With a Crown Peach and Cream Soda?

Popular garnishes include fresh peach slices, a maraschino cherry, or a sprig of mint to add a touch of color and extra flavor.

You can also add some whipped cream to reinforce the “cream” aspect of the drink, adding the maraschino cherry on top like a soda shop drink.

Is Crown Peach and Cream Soda Good For Parties?

Yes, Crown peach and cream soda is an excellent choice for parties due to its simplicity and crowd-pleasing flavor. It can be easily scaled up for larger batches.

However, due to the carbonated nature of the drink, it’s best not to prepare in advance. Chill the soda ahead of time in its container, then mix with the whiskey and ice just before serving for best freshness.

Can I Make a Non-Alcoholic Version of This Drink?

For a non-alcoholic mocktail version, omit the Crown Royal peach whiskey.

Instead, add ½ to 1 ounce (or to taste) of a peach-flavored syrup or extract mixed with the cream soda.

What Type of Glass Is Best for Serving This Cocktail?

A highball glass or a mason jar is ideal for serving Crown peach and cream soda, allowing enough space for ice and garnishes.

If you don’t have either of those, try a pint glass, can glass, or a similar tall drinking glass.

Can I Add Other Ingredients to Customize My Crown Peach and Cream Soda?

Yes, you can experiment with adding a splash of fruit juice, such as orange, pineapple, or cranberry.

For a tart or bitter additive, try a dash of bitters (peach or orange flavor) or a bit of fresh lemon juice to customize the flavor.

Crown Peach and Cream Soda Recipe Tips

  • For a weaker drink, reduce the amount of whiskey down to 1 – 1 ½ ounces. To make up for the peach flavor reduction, use peach schnapps (lower alcohol) or peach juice or nectar to replace the flavor. However, this drink is not very strong as written – you can taste the peach flavor but it’s not obviously whiskey-flavored

Serving and Presentation Tips

  • Any highball style glass works well for a Crown peach cream soda. I like the can glasses since they remind me of soda cans, but you can use pint glasses, mason jars, Collins glasses, or anything else in that sort of style you like!
  • Garnishes are entirely optional, but good choices would be a slice of fresh peach, a maraschino cherry, or a sprig of fresh mint to add some herbal notes. You could also top with whipped cream for that soda shoppe feel!
  • This mixed drink scales easily for a crowd and is super easy to make for summer entertaining. However, you can’t really prepare it in advance (other than to chill your soda) due to the carbonation. Just mix in a pitcher and pour over ice once your guests arrive and it still takes just minutes!
  • Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey and Dr Pepper
  • Crown Apple and Ginger Ale
  • Dr Pepper and Crown Vanilla

Final Thoughts

It doesn’t get much simpler than a 2-ingredient cocktail, but this Crown peach and cream soda is a perfect summer mixed drink! It’s lightly fruity, sweet, bubbly, and refreshing – you can’t go wrong.

Plus, it takes just minutes to put together and scales easily for serving in a pitcher, so you can make a batch for your next pool party, backyard barbecue, beach day, and more.

Crown peach is such a great whiskey flavor for summer, since it’s got the flavor of real peaches already in the alcohol! If you’re looking for more creative ways to use your bottle, check out my compilation of all my great Crown Royal peach drinks to try!
