Imagine fresh, juicy peaches paired with a buttery, crisp oat topping, and you have this air fryer peach crisp. That’s right, instead of the oven, I’m baking up this delicious dessert in the air fryer so there’s no need to heat up the whole house in the heat of the summer!

What is Air Fryer Peach Crisp?
An air fryer peach crisp is an easy summer dessert made by cooking peach slices or dices topped with a crumbly mixture of oats, sugar, butter, and spices in an air fryer.
The air fryer allows the peaches to become tender and juicy while the topping becomes golden and crispy in texture. This method provides a quick and efficient way to prepare a peach crisp, resulting in a delicious, warm, and comforting dessert!

Air Fryer Peach Crisp Ingredients

- 4 large peaches, peeled, pitted, and diced into approximately ½” cubes (about 2 cups of fruit in total)
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp cinnamon
For the Crisp Topping:
- ½ cup old fashioned or rolled oats
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup cold salted butter, cubed
- ¼ cup all purpose flour
- ½ tsp cinnamon
Ingredient Tips and Substitutions
- You can also use canned peaches (in juice) that are drained and diced, or frozen (defrosted and drained) peaches instead of fresh peaches (but I think fresh ripe peaches give the best flavor). If you prefer you can slice your peaches instead, but the dices cook faster and are easier to eat
- I don’t find the need for extra sweeter with the peaches, but you can add ½ tsp of honey or maple syrup if you’d like
- The vanilla can be swapped for almond extract, or raspberry if you’d like a melba flavor profile
- If you use unsalted butter instead, just add a sprinkle of salt to compensate for flavor
- Feel free to adjust or even omit the cinnamon if preferred. You can also use ginger or other warm spices to create something to your liking!
- For extra crunch, you can add some toasted nuts like pecans or walnuts to your topping
Equipment Notes
You’ll need some kind of oven-safe dish that fits in your air fryer’s basket or rack for this recipe. I use four 7-ounce ramekins, but you can use a couple mini cake pans or one larger casserole dish, depending on the size of your specific unit.
How to Make Air Fryer Peach Crisp
- Grease your ramekins (or whatever oven-safe dish you’re using)
- In a bowl, combine the peaches, lemon juice, cornstarch, vanilla, and ½ tsp cinnamon until well mixed

- Spread the peach mixture evenly across the bottom of your pan (or divide evenly amongst individual ramekins)

- Make the crumble topping by combining the oats, brown sugar, butter, flour, and cinnamon and mix until crumbly. Tip: I mix it with my hands so the heat softens the butter slightly, but you can use a fork or pastry cutter too

- Spread the oat mixture evenly over top of your peaches, then place into your air fryer basket or rack

- Cook on the air fry setting at 350°F for 15 minutes, or until the top is browned and the filling is bubbly. Note: times can vary based on the size of your specific dishes as well as your air fryer, so adjust as needed
- Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream if desired, and enjoy!

Recipe FAQs
How Does an Air Fryer Peach Crisp Differ From Traditional Peach Crisp?
An air fryer peach crisp is made using an air fryer instead of a conventional oven, which allows for quicker cooking times and a crispy topping without heating up the entire kitchen.
Otherwise, the ingredients and structure are the same, though it is often made in a smaller portion suitable for 2-4 people instead of a larger crowd.
What Are the Benefits of Using an Air Fryer for Making Peach Crisp?
Using an air fryer to make peach crisp provides benefits such as faster cooking time, energy efficiency, and achieving a perfectly crispy topping without the need for a large oven.
It also allows you to easily make a smaller portion, when compared to an entire casserole sized dish, which is suitable for smaller families.
How Long Does It Take to Make an Air Fryer Peach Crisp?
The cooking time for an air fryer peach crisp is typically shorter than that of a traditional oven, usually taking around 15-20 minutes depending on the size of pan and your specific air fryer.
Start with the lower end of the time, then adjust as needed until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
Can I Make a Gluten Free Air Fryer Peach Crisp?
Yes, you can make a gluten free air fryer peach crisp by using certified gluten free oats and a gluten free flour substitute for the topping mixture.
Make sure to check your other ingredients as well for a gluten free certification to be safe, as cross contamination can occur in production.
Can I Prepare an Air Fryer Peach Crisp in Advance?
Yes, you can prepare the peach filling and topping in advance and store them separately. Make sure to add the lemon juice to the fresh peaches to prevent browning if you do this.
When ready to serve, assemble and cook them in the air fryer for a quick and fresh dessert.
Tips For the Best Air Fryer Peach Crisp
- It is normal for some of the topping to fly around in your air fryer during cooking. I usually have a few oats on the bottom of my basket after cooking. Don’t be too alarmed if you hear it moving around in there!
- The topping will set more as the crisp cools, so let it sit for 10-15 minutes if you want a really crispy topping

Storage and Reheating of Peach Crisp
- Store leftover peach crisp in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days
- To reheat fruit crisp, place a single serving in an oven safe dish in the air fryer for 3-5 minutes at 350°F, or until warmed through. You may also microwave for 30-40 seconds, but the topping will lose its crispness that way
