Every year, I make the journey to a local berry farm for fresh pick your own fruit. Consequently, that means I’m always coming up with recipes to use up my bounty. This air fryer blackberry cobbler is an easy and delicious dessert that doesn’t require turning on the oven!

  • 10 ounces fresh blackberries (about 2 cups)
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp cornstarch
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 4 Tbsp butter (salted), melted
  • ½ cup all purpose flour
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ cup heavy cream or milk

Ingredient Notes and Substitutions

  • You can use frozen blackberries instead of fresh (and you don’t need to defrost them)
  • The sugar may be swapped for brown sugar or a substitute such as Stevia
  • If you don’t have cornstarch, you may use flour instead
  • The vanilla may be swapped for almond or lemon extract for different flavor options
  • You may swap in lime juice in place of lemon juice if preferred
  • The flour and baking powder in the topping mix can be substituted by self raising flour instead
  • Feel free to sprinkle some demerara sugar over top of the topping before baking for extra texture and crunch
  • This cobbler is delicious on its own, but can be topped with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for the perfect bite!

How to Make Blackberry Cobbler in the Air Fryer

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the blackberries, ¼ cup granulated sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, and vanilla extract. Mix well and allow to rest

  2. Grease 4 ramekins (or whatever pan you’re using)
